Jake’s Cowdog Creamery is the frozen-dessert side of Bee & Board LLC — a small Oklahoma operation built around good ingredients, small batches, and the idea that there is always another flavor worth trying.
We make traditional favorites alongside gelato, stracciatella, sorbets, tea-infused flavors, seasonal experiments, and whatever else survives the R&D freezer.
Good frozen dessert starts with good milk.
Most Jake’s Cowdog Creamery dairy flavors begin with organic A2 milk chosen for its rich, creamy character and clean dairy flavor.
Jersey cows are known for milk that is naturally rich in butterfat and protein, which helps give gelato and ice cream the body, texture, and depth we’re after.
And because our standard milk is A2, it contains the A2 form of beta-casein rather than A1. That does not make it lactose-free, but it is one more reason we chose it as the foundation for our everyday dairy base.
Not every flavor uses the same base. Our low-lactose, coconut cream, and sorbet recipes are built separately for the flavor and texture they need.
Jake is the namesake, mascot, quality-control supervisor, and occasional source of questionable management decisions at Jake’s Cowdog Creamery.
He’s a red merle Australian Shepherd with light blue eyes, which makes him pretty hard to mistake for anybody else. His coloring — copper, cream, rust, and soft gray — has become part of the visual language of the creamery, especially as the Oklahoma fall colors start showing up in the food and around the landscape.
Jake’s not just there because he photographs well. He represents the kind of place we want the creamery to feel like: curious, hardworking, friendly, a little scruffy around the edges, and always interested in what’s happening next.
That might be a new gelato flavor, a tea infusion, a seasonal experiment, or a freezer full of half-pints waiting for someone to try them.
At Jake’s Cowdog Creamery, we make frozen desserts the old-fashioned way: in small batches, with good ingredients, and enough attention to notice when something could be better.
We start with a purpose-built base, then let the flavor lead.
That might mean steeping tea into warm dairy, blending real fruit, making pistachio paste from scratch, folding in a cobbler crumble, or streaming chocolate into the churn until it breaks into fine stracciatella freckles.
Some flavors are classics. Some are seasonal. Some start with, “I wonder what would happen if…”
That’s the fun of being a gelateria artigianale. We aren’t trying to make every batch fit the same formula. We’re trying to make each flavor taste unmistakably like itself.
So we churn small, taste often, keep notes, and make the next batch better.

The freezer changes constantly.
Some flavors are classics. Some are seasonal. Some are still proving themselves in R&D. What’s available today depends on what we’ve churned, what’s hardening, and what disappeared faster than expected.
Our live board shows what’s currently ready, what’s coming next, and what’s still being tested.
See what’s in the freezer.
Jake’s Cowdog Creamery is still small-batch by design, so availability changes with what we’ve made, what’s hardening, and what’s already been claimed.
Most flavors are packed in half-pints and pints, with some seasonal or experimental batches appearing in limited quantities.
Check the Available Now board to see what’s currently in the freezer. If something catches your eye, reach out before it disappears.
For now, sales are local and limited while we continue refining the lineup, testing seasonal flavors, and getting ready for broader market availability.
Have a flavor in mind? Ask.
Jake’s Cowdog Creamery takes custom requests for weddings, parties, events, and other special occasions.
We can build a batch around the event itself — from the flavor to custom containers and labeling — then have it frozen, packed, and ready when you need it.
That might mean:
a favorite family flavor
something seasonal
a custom stracciatella
a few gallons for a reception
personalized labels for the occasion
Because everything is made in small batches, custom orders require planning and are priced accordingly. But if you want something more personal than choosing from a standard menu, that’s exactly the kind of project we like.
